aesthetic + approach

I specialize in shooting intimate weddings, elopements, portraiture, adventure, and lifestyle photography. Honestly, I have always struggled to put a label on myself or my work. If I had to define the style of my work, I would say it is a blend of editorial + photo-journalism with cinematic undertones. Details matter and my approach and creative process is very intentional. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable and safe to be fully in the moment and allow yourself to be seen.

  • Each of my clients are unique, so I embrace a collaborative planning process to ensure a session that fully represents your vision.

  • Everything you need to know prior to your session, including location scouting, posing guide, and visual reference board, all wrapped up into one pretty package.

  • I created styling packets that give an in-depth breakdown of how to approach your styling, do’s and don’ts, and tips for a successful session. This packet is thorough and dives into the season, location, and other important elements to you need to consider.

  • When you work with me you work in an all-loving, judgement-free engaging, and uplifting space.

  • Your online gallery will be emailed to you, from there you can download your images. Professional print products are available for purchase post-production.

FAQ

  • It depends on session and the time of year. Turnaround time for hourly sessions during the slow season is about 2 weeks, and during wedding season [April- October] closer to 4 weeks. Wedding galleries take approximately 4-6 weeks during the slow season and 10-12 weeks during wedding season.

  • Hourly portrait sessions receive between 30-35 images.  For weddings, the average is between 35-45 an hour, so the total gallery varies depending on the coverage. If you are interested in double coverage via a second shooter for all or part of your wedding day, those options are available to you.

  • I work on a first-come-first-serve basis, and require a deposit to secure your date and time. Unfortunately I cannot hold dates without a booking deposit and signed contract. The sooner you book the more time we have to plan and prepare to make sure your session is the best it can be. Most of my wedding clients book about 12 months out from their date, and the really organized folks book 1.5-2 years in advance. For hourly sessions, 2-3 months out is ideal.

  • Unfortunately no, RAW images are not available. My edits are an important part of my brand, and I create every gallery with the final gallery in mind.

  • Nope!

  • YES. I seek out authentic moments when I shoot. So you will be doing less posing, and more being — interacting, playing, laughing and having a good ole’ time. It is very important that you feel comfortable while we shoot because the best shots happen when you let your guard down. I will help you get out of your head and allow yourself to be vulnerable and truly seen.  I will play you tasty jams while I shoot, and probably dance around a bit. I am widely accepted as moderately funny, so I am confident I will be able to make you laugh.
